About Ken Joyce & Swing Like A Pro
I have devoted the majority of my life to professional baseball, serving as a coach and manager across all levels of the minor leagues. After graduating from Deering High School and the University of Southern Maine, my passion for the game led me to positions with the Florida Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees, and Milwaukee Brewers. As a proud member of both the USM and Maine Baseball Hall of Fame, I have trained players of various ages within the baseball and softball communities, emphasizing the significance of proper mechanics and the feel of the swing. My simplified approach at the plate has helped players from Little League to the Major League achieve success.
Mission
The mission of Swing Like A Pro with Ken Joyce is to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for baseball and softball players of all ages. By emphasizing the proper feel of the swing—focusing on the how and why—rather than solely on coaching concepts or the what, players can gain a deeper understanding of their swing mechanics. Consequently, players develop the ability to coach themselves and acquire the skills necessary to make crucial adjustments when needed. While encouraging players to explore their unique styles and instincts, Swing Like A Pro fosters confidence and resilience in every athlete.
